    80000 miles dont know history of truck . what is the things to go wrong with tocoma.at this mileage ?

    Nothing. The 04 I owned was bulletproof. I had to get the AC serviced at 100000; check to make sure the timing belt and water pump were changed.

    I would check the valve clearances. If the exhaust valve clearances get too tight (small), you could burn a valve, and that would be a very expensive repair. Its easy to check them yourself with normal tools, but difficult to adjust (go to an experienced shop for that).

    Your truck has a timing chain, so no timing belt to worry about.

    These are very reliable vehicles, so not much goes wrong. Just do normal maintenance : filters, oil, pcv valve, plugs, drive belts, etc.

    whoops, didn't see you had a 2.4; misread that as the 3.4. Still a solid truck.

    Check the frame for rust.
