See any issues with spray painting the wheel wells and underbody of the truck with flat black?

I don't see a problem with it as long as you clean it well first. Let's see if a more intelligible person chimes in

cleaning and prep is the key. maybe a rust inhibitor and primer to make sure it bonds?

Use a wire brush or grinder with a wire wheel brush and get rid or any rust n such. Do a deep clean and you should be fine. If I have the time thats what some of my summer will include.

    Good luck

Thanks, yeah I was going to clean up and prep real good. I was just wondering if there was anything that could get damaged by the paint, things I should tape off etc. thanks.

I do this all the time when I restore a vehicle. It's all about prep. Several light coats helps bond also. Tape off anything you dont want to be black. I wouldnt just start spraying under there. I myself would mask off brake lines, bleeders, shocks, axle, etc. It would like a 5 year old went nuts with a spray can otherwise.
