Went with the Bearcat 980SSB, Wilson 5000 Magnetic Mount Antenna and 50 Watt Amp. Not super crazy about the location I put the CB in, but I think it was the best option, mounted the AMP under the passenger seat, Its is in a little inconvenient of a spot, but am able to reach the switches to enough ease, and not like I am typically talking on the CB all day.

After a couple of months searching craigslist, finally found a Camper shell for my year in good shape and color for $700.

Got the Mag Mount CB antenna put on and routed the coax cable.

I love how easy Toyota has made it to route cables, Used the Rubber Plug directly under the Center Console to run the Coax into the CAB did not have to drill at all.

Ran power into the camper shell, installed a Dome light with RTV (hope it holds) and a External Power Port.

Got this Battery Pack / Jump Starter for Christmas, Mounted it in the bed, Can Charge off of the external power port, then have it there if I need it.

Made a first Aid Kit out of a NVG Ammo Can I have, mounted it in the BED, I think it turned out half way decent.

Decided I would try and do a little better on wiring my accessories up on this truck then I have on my other rig's. Went with the Painless Wiring Auxiliary Fuse block, has 7 fused circuits, and is wired with a relay so it is only active when the ignition is hot. Super Easy Install, am very happy with it.

    http://www.painlessperformance.com/webcatalog/lv.php?sl=70118

Mounted right next to the Stock Fuse Block in the engine compartment, So far only running the CB, CB Amp and power back to camper shell. So still got 4 slots left.

Installed a couple smittybilt Jerry Can Mounts to hold my fuel and water cans, installed through the bottom of the bed, there is still just enough room to access the Bed storage compartments, will have to pull the cans out to do so, but at least wont loose the use of the compartments.

Almost got all the small stuff out of the way, next couple small things are a CO2 Air tank and looking for a fire extinguisher with a good mount, and then just need to set aside some money for the big upcoming stuff, Lift, ARB Bumper / Winch and tires.

Well managed to get some more minor things done on the Tacoma this week.

Ordered some LED Map lights and Dome light from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009LUQFMC/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for 15 bucks, and I have to say these things really work! They are bright! It is not the typical soft light from stock dome lights, it is that harsh bright white light, but you sure can see a lot more. The dome light is not a huge change but the map lights for sure.

Oh and thanks to this youtube video to show me how to pull apart the map lights http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNxu2_p5NkQ

Ordered a trailer hitch from hitchanything.com http://www.hitchanything.com/2005-2013-Toyota-Tacoma-Trailer-Hitch-Kit-Curt-13323-and-55513.html for $150, pretty happy with it, also included the wiring Harness that just tapped right into the stock connections, It is really a two man job to install but managed to knock it out on my own.

    IMG_20140417_203238_790_zps5329d605_771c004a84a2e170966b495309574d9a1a82f884.jpg

Also Installed some cheap Driving Lights from Wal Mart under the rear bumper, figure they will help out when its super dark out in the mountains, or can aid with setting up camp at night. I wired them independent on there own switch, so don't have to be in reverse if I need to use them.

    IMG_20140417_202926_696_zpsadf5b262_fbc56ffb23c31ea3ee3f8d4d98502ccad2436c11.jpg

My super high speed fabrication of a rocker switch panel, will probably switch out with those really nice rocker switches that fit right in the slot.

Ended up going with the Daystar 2.5 inch lift from4wheelparts
    http://www.4wheelparts.com/Lift-Kits-Suspensions-Shocks/2-5-Inch-Suspension-Lift-Kit-with-Scorpion-Shocks.aspx?t_c=1&t_s=38&t_pt=3533&t_pn=DAYKT09130BK
I know this is not the greatest lift out there, but the price was right and i am not looking for anything too extreme. Just want a little more ground clearance and room for some beefier tires and to still be functional as my daily driver.

    IMG_20140520_150147_714_zps4bf5bb21_6a10ae63b79afb9b643b728c9b0438a772926a21.jpg

The lift came with everything that was needed, So far got the front right coil spacer doneand it kicked my ass, had to pull way more apart then I had planned, and once all apart took a while to get the sway bar and lower control arm to bolt back up. So hopefully tomorrow the other coil spacer will go a little quicker now that I know what is involved and the rear leaf blocks should be pretty quick. Will upload some pics once it’scomplete tomorrow and review how it drives with the lift.

The rest of the lift went in pretty easy! Not a huge change like a 3 or 4 inch lift, but adds some height and should give me the room to get some bigger tires put on. Took it for a test drive and don't notice any difference in handling. The rear does sag a little more then I would like do to the camper shell and all the stuff I got in the bed, think I am going to fix that with the Firestone Ride Rite air bags. I had a set on my 1991 4runner and they worked great on that.

Thinking of getting back into Ham Radio after a long break, picked up a Baofeng UVR5 2 meter / 440, and its a great little radio for 38 bucks http://www.amazon.com/Baofeng-UV5RA...&qid=1400739481&sr=8-2&keywords=baofeng+uv-5r I like its receive and transmit range, got all the GMRS and FRS Freq's programmed in so if I am out with anyone with a FRS Radio will be able to talk with them.

Couple of pics of the antenna and Radio install, Fashioned a mount out of some sheet metal, seems to work pretty good and like the location of the radio. For the antenna just running a little mag mount on the drivers side front panel.

Installed a Battery Box, Marine Deep Cycle Battery and Pac 200 Amp battery isolator relay from Amazon.

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CEBXRS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The Isolator is pretty cool, its wired to the main battery and basically when the ignition is on it opens the relay sending power to the secondary battery charging it. When the ignition is off the relay shuts off. This will allow me to run the rear lights, Power outlets and dome lights I have installed in the camper shell without worry of draining the main starting battery.

    KIMG0102_zpswteozk6q_e79619c860b2674c004e4fccbcf7138755a074b1.jpg

Mounted the isolator in the bed next to the secondary battery, pretty easy install, Main Power wire from the battery, one to the secondary battery, ignition hot wire, and ground wire.

    KIMG0089_zps4xgqk93k_d6fc0605bf71018715866e84868680ec97b811f3.jpg

I kept the Battery Pack / Jump Starter and just mounted it above the new Marine Battery Box, so I think i have plenty of back power now.

    KIMG0103_zpszlxptfwq_3e989cc0b8bcf4aff31a7c82ae59adf2660076ec.jpg

Added another DC Power plug at the very back of the bed to run accessories.

    KIMG0096_zpsfbcgesgh_b337021335db644c62afed08168de1c85cfb70f3.jpg

Picked up this DC Power drop light from Wal Mart for about 12 bucks, It has a 20 foot cord plus got an extension cord for it. Figure this will come in handy for working on the truck in the dark or the cable is long enough can hang it for a light over the picnic table when camping or something.

    KIMG0097_zpscpgrh6lf_0a3d1312851efc045f7e3d918976e7917912a56e.jpg

Overall pretty happy, Its going to be nice having that extra battery when camping, being able to use that power to run lights, radios, charge the cell phone without worry of killing the main battery.

Finally ordered up my Firestone Ride Rite air bag springs # 2407. Got them from Amazon for $329.00

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005GVPO40/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Pretty Simple to install, Only issue is some of the bolts are a pain to get to, in order to tighten up, but eventually got it all in.

    KIMG0106_zpswjouxmsu_65400b765c6fbb122baac6555b5dbd4846392599.jpg

The kit comes with a mount for the airlines, but i opted to just drill into the bumper and mounted the air lines on each side of the license plate. I think it was a good way to go.

    KIMG0107_zpsj6tizaan_7f38e25e24201e9346e3ca9add253c83c316dda5.jpg

So far they are working great as advertised, pumped them up to around 25 PSI and no more sag in the rear, which has been driving me crazy for months now. The ride feels better to me, more stiff / firm.
