TRD Supercharger, TRD exhaust, Leather seats, running boards removed (why it came with them I cannot imagine), Salex organizers, BAMF behind-the-grill light bar, Rigid SR-20 and SR-Q - Spots mounted behind stock grill, color-matched grill, WeatherTech FloorLiner DigitalFit floor mats, Tech Deck, Avid bolt-on slider/step converted to weld on by TW member Achirdo, Diaz Fabrication Model T, Icon Stage 4 with OME Dakar rear leaf springs, OME Driveshaft spacer, Toytec 1" Front Diff Drop, FN BFD 18"x9" GMG Wheels, BFG KO2 285-65-18 tires, Ultragauge mounted above mirror, Tuffy Box lockable storage, MattGecko rear window security bar, Relentless Fab tailgate protector, CSJumper 700 lumen flood pattern back-up LED's, modified BeeRadd under-hood lighting with two KC Cyclones; KB Voodoo cargo management system and standard rails, AllPro hi-lift jack mount, 48" hi-lift, RCI Metalworks aluminum front skid, Flyzeye 3VP-RS in glovebox and console, AFE CAI, Coupe fuse box cover, battery hold-down bracket and CAI air-box cover, Wurton pod led's installed as bed lights on Lowbrow Customs motorcycle fork brake line aluminum brackets, Pop-n-Lock PL5400, Extang Solidfold 2.0, Rechelon Retro's, Moromoto LED fogs, URD Y-pipe, Walbro 255lph fuel pump, Speedhut AFR and Boost gauges, Cravenspeed gauge holder, CMC by Tandem Automotive, 70mm throttle body, CSF radiator, Doug Thorley shorties, Vibrant 7101 cats, SOS Offroad front and rear bumpers, Smoothflow 2.5” SC pulley, Steeda SC belt tensioner, roostfactor belt wrap kit, switch Pro 9100 in custom Tandem Automotive holder, WAT trans valvebody, FIC 650cc injectors, HP Tuner.
So, back when cats first came out I had a 1975 El Camino... Don't hate, I loved that truck/car. You can get laid in an El Camino with bucket seats. Anyway, no cats, headers, all emission stuff gone...somehow I always got it inspected. They would open the hood and just look at me. I just shrugged.

    Yes, I sold my '13 Taco. :'(
Ill have to pick the brain of my smog tech buddy sometime. I remember him telling me no CEL's and pass a visual and someone should pass fine, no sniffer test needed anymore here in my area anyway.

    :D Sweet man thanks.

Haha! I love El Caminos. My buddy's father has one that does deep 10's on DOT drag radials fully tubbed out. Just a nasty lumpy idling monster of a motor in that thing it sounds so awesome.

Haha right on I was totally oblivious to the star rating! Awesome ;)

Those tie rods are expenssssive. Those were fully funded by selling old bike stuff so it really was no expense to me. $760. If you are close to an off road shop that can machine you custom ones, that would be a LOT CHEAPER I'm sure.

The kit is a great kit though. All the machining is top notch and 100% bolt on. No extra modification needed. Everything fits like intended. I have one BIG complaint and that's for the price they could have at least included replacement steering rack boots! :( I sourced a boot kit from Dorman that you can get at any auto parts store that fits fine though.

Def more peace of mind that I wont bust a tie rod messing around in the rough with 285's on.

Yeah its retarded how proud they are of them but hey when they literally have ZERO competition in heimed stock length tie rods I guess they can price it as such.

Well planned midtravel builds are a dying breed it seems lol.

Matt, can you give me the run down/benefit of using the Ready Lift Tie rod steering kit? Was thinking about it, but I heard it was a bitch to get on the truck without cutting? Is that a correct statement? Thanks Bro...

I have 18" wheels btw, so I assumed I might benefit from that product...

    Yes, I sold my '13 Taco. :'(
    Check back Sunday evening. :)

    Lol

I had CBI's before on other vehicles and I have no clue why I didn't use them for the current retrofit on my truck lol. I'm super excited for CBI's with the 460 spread!!

    It's ok, because 2.85 pulley. :D

The heims on the steering upgrade kit are damn near indestructable. If you are running larger, heavier wheels and tires and/or intend on using your truck off road to any extent then they are a must.

One of the biggest benefits of heims is their ability to handle larger amounts of (suspension)compression and tension loads when off roading or when you increase overall tire size and weight. This is why you see the majority of long travel suspension guys upgrading their steering rods to heim joints, all for the same reasons.

As for install, you definitely heard wrongly lol. The kit is completely bolt on. ZERO CUTTING. If you can unbolt your old tie rods, you just reverse the process to install the Ready lift upgraded rods. Now what I do recommend is to purchase a steering boot kit for the tie rod upgrade. Ready Lift really fell short on not providing these. It's annoying. Your stock boots will not work.

The boot kit I'm running is the Dorman 614-020 Universal Steering Boot Kit, and you'll need to buy 2 of these. They only sell the boots individually:

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002ESF5QK

If you're running 18's and plan on using your truck off road, well these will give you peace of mind that you definitely WONT bust a tie rod. You won't notice any difference("upgrade") in day to day performance they perform like the stock rods. Its mainly a strengthening kinda mod.
