    09 Access cab ,, I want to get a Leer topper that attaches to the bed rails. Can the stock tie down cleats be used when a topper/cap is installed?

    I have a LEER 100XQ on my 08 DC, and I can still use the tie downs, but they were hard to get back into the rails and they do not move as freely.

    Because the Leer "skirts" the bedrail, it does restrict the movement of the tiedown cleats a bit, well at least on mine it does.

    Since getting my Leer cap and installing a bed mat, I haven't really needed the tiedown cleats. Getting the bedmat made a huge difference. Now nothing slides around....... :)

    i have the same cap. its a little pain to get the cleats back in the rail system but once in i have full movement back and forth.
