I have a 2011 Tacoma Double Cab with a Rosen P-11 Nav System installed. The system runs on a 4 GB Micro SD card which leaves little room for updates and extras. I tried both an 8 GB Kingston and a 16 GB Sandisk sd Card and Restored the current (working) system to both cards using NAVIEXTRAS toolbox and the GPS turned on but froze during boot up but once I put the original sd card back in it works fine. I formatted both new cards and also compared the files on the original card with the new ones but could not find anything different.

Any suggestions on what type of card to use and at what capacity?
Does the card require a special SD CARD reader/writer to make the data Compatible?

I would appreciate any help! Thx!

The 2011 Tacoma Rosen DS-TY1090 P-11 Nav system will only take a 4GB Micro SD-Card in both the GPS and the DATA ports. Rosen told me that they are currently developing an 8GB Card but it will be several months before its release. Rosen's web site does not list the customer support # but here it is 951-898-9808. The support team was friendly and glad to help.
