    Hi all,

I'm Steve, from west Michigan but currently living in west Texas for a few more weeks. I have been driving HiLuxes overseas for the past 13 years or so on and off depending on where the job sends me, courtesy of Uncle Sam. Finally pulled the trigger on a 2014 4x4 Tacoma SR5 Texas Edition. I even went with the brush guard that is so common in this part of the state. My wife's first words were, "Are you going to take it off when you come home?" Well, that remains to be seen. I have killed more deer with vehicles than firearms...

I am very experienced with Volkswagens, Jettas in particular. I am looking forward to learning and doing on my truck. I plan on keeping my mouth shut around here and absorbing knowledge like a sponge.

    Thanks for having me around!

Welcome. The way some of those "brush guards" are constructed and mounted would have a hard time taking out a medium sized bird. Watch out for deer!
