Non-JBL HU Question

I couldn't find much info explicitly relating to this, and I'm not familiar with car audio equipment, sorry if it's been asked already.

I'm in the process of upgrading the sound system in my 2012 DCSB, it has the stock (non-JBL) HU with XM. Is the XM receiver integrated into the stock HU, or is it separate?

Also, if anyone knows any good Nav HU's that allow for off-road waypoints, I'd love to hear recommendations.
