Power from brake controller port

    Weathertech floor liners and wind deflector, OEM roof Rack, Wet Okoles seat covers, cb installed
    Can you get 12v from where the brake controller plugs in? To avoid running power wires from the battery.

    I am about to install my cb but I was trying to keep under the hood as clean as possible.
    Thank you for any input you can provide.

    If that is the case why does everyone run the radio off the battery? I am just curious seems to me this would be a better place to get it from than running wires all over the engine bay.

    No one else has any input on this. Is there anything to worry about getting power from there?
