Hey everyone I'm new here, names dre. So about 1 year ago I got my 2013 tacoma dual cab short bed in Grey and was happy till about 3 months ago when I stumbled onto this website and started seeing all kinds of badass tacomas with retrofitted lights and custom grills! In specific it was Homertaco's grill thread that gave me the mod itch haha anyway I started doing some looking into all the different ways to do them and got the courage to say screw it and chopped up my grill. I've been taking pictures as I go, keeping in mind all the build threads and questions I had since I knew nothing about any kind of body work haha well without further a due here's my progress.

..actually I got too excited and mounted the Damn thing haha anyway I'll upload a few pictures. This is how she sits as of today.

I only plasti dipped the lip due to time restraints so it's still needs filling sanding priming and paint but I I need to drive it and I don't want to without the grill. I will update with more pictures when completely finished and washed and with more details and such but for now here are a couple of pics of my processes.

mind you all this is my first time touching fiberglass and bondo and any kind of fabricating or even touching my truck haha so take it easy on me.

How I attached mesh and letters.

The lip I created out of fiberglass.
    Excuse the mess

i was thinking about attempting this as well, but how did you get the fiberglass across the top and bottom lip to be so straight? its kinda hard to tell with the pictures how much more deep you made it than stock.
