I just bought a used 2009 Tacoma Quad Cab 4x4 Long Box with a small plow on it. I love the truck but i want to give it a more aggresive look. I also tow a 21ft boat in the summer (4500lb). I don't want the back end to sag while towing. My budget is very small. I was thinking the Bilstein 5100 in front with stock springs and an add a leaf in the back. Can anyone tell me roughly how much lift it will give me and if this will work?

    Any Thoughts Thanks

Every tried just bigger tires 265/75/16? the billstein can be set at .85 i dont remeber also 1.75 which is commonly used and also at 2.5 which is not commonly run. I think you would need new springs for that height anyway. I think the add-a- leaf will only add about 1 inch in the rear. I hope this helps and is also correct, if not im sure someone more knowledgable will give a better answer and correct me if i am wrong.

The 5100's have 4 settings of 0, .85, 1.75, and 2.5. The lift is pretty close to that when said and done. If you go all the way to 2.5", you may need adjustable UCA's. Some people need them, some people don't.

The rear you can typically get 1.5" or 2" AALs.

Depending on the condition of your current suspension, 1.75" setting on the front and 1.5" AAL will probably give you a little rake. 2.5" setting and 1.5" rear AAL will probably be close to a level lift. 2.5" setting and 2" AAL should have a little rake. Again, this depends on suspension condition.

This is based on 3 leaf factory rear. (2+1) Will be different for a factory 4 leaf. (3+1)

I had a 20 foot boat, not sure about weight, but my 1.5 inch aal handled it nicely. I've got 2.5 inch lift in the front and it did have a bit of bro lean with the boat behind me.
