Hi guys, i recently purchased the truck and not sure on how to activate the hill assist. I couldn't find anything on the manual, so maybe you guys can help me.
I tried pressing the button in neutral and in 1st gear and the car still rolls back. I rather do the old style and get the hang of the clutch like back in the day, but it would be nice to know i have this feature for the wifey.

Complete OME kit w/ 881's and dakars. All-Pro Sliders, CB, HAM Radio and various other minor stuff.
With the engine OFF and the key turned to ON, press the clutch override. Now, you can start the truck without pushing in the clutch and taking it out of gear. Never tried it but thats how its suppose to work.

It's not a hill assist, it's to bypass the clutch switch to start the engine. The idea is if you stall out on an incline where rolling back with the clutch pressed would be a bad idea, you can just leave it in gear and let the starter roll you forward while starting the engine.

I've used it before to crawl out of sand traps, go up steep climbs if I stall, and sometimes start it in the morning like that. Let it warm up while I toss stuff in the back, etc.
    Just set it to neutral.
