Procomp 7089 wheels cap

Hi Guys,

I've gone trough number of threads but didn't find what i'm looking for.

Is there an alternative to the stock wheels cap used on the procomp 7089. Something that can be installed from the outside and after the installation of the wheels?

 

I know what you're getting at. The caps that come with the wheels are a pain to deal with. Makes doing tire rotations a challenge.

Never mind, working now. Those are like the factory caps. They snap onto the hub. I think the OPs asking if there are any caps that snap onto the wheels.

 

You're right. The stock ones snap on the hub so they stay there when you remove the wheels.

Would like to find something shorter and good looking that snap from outside just like OEM wheels.

I bought my pro comps from discount tires so it came with lifetime balance and rotation

I did hear that putting that center cap is a b*tch.

Another thing about that. I had a lot of difficulties to balance those wheels. I had a pretty bad wobble in the steering at some speed. So, those wheels are lugcentric. Cause the cap act as a ring that fill the gap between the hub (106.9mm) et the wheels (108mm), the Wheel become hubcentric. Is it possible that a Wheel constructed to be lugcentric will be unbalanced in this condition? Can the hub center of the Wheel be different of the lugs center?

As long as you're using the correct lug centric lug nuts, then you'll be alright. They are what centers the wheel on the hub. Those center caps aren't precise or strong enough to make the wheels hub centric.
