I had a Viper 4105V remote start added to my 2012 Tacoma. I noticed my brake pedal clicks when depressed, then the pedal lowers a bit and grabs a second time all while slowing down. Any thoughts? It was fine before the install. Bringing back next week just looking for ideas before they try to tell me, it is supposed to act that way.

They added a brake pedal switch to yours. What it does is when you depress the pedal, it shuts off the remote start override, and lets the ignition key take over. Sounds like they screwed something up though, maybe put the wiring in the wrong place or something. Check your brake fluid levels, and see how the wiring goes to the pedal, then take it back to the install shop, and see if they have anything to say about it.

When I do installs, it ties into the EXISTING brake switch signal. Not sure why they would add a secondary

Could be a wire that they routed in the way of the pedal assembly?

It's automatic. I have the tow Package on it already. Fluid level is fime. I called the shop and I bring it back in Saturday. Not sure if they know by the sound of it. It almost sounds like a relay when i tap on the brakes but when driving it the brakes catch release and catch again. We'll see what they have to say.

    Thanks

Yes. It's actually pretty funny. The shop that did the install put a wire tie somewhere that was interfering with the pedal.
