Hello and let me start off my first post by saying i used the search bar and all the other interwebs i could try before posting here. I have a 11 tacoma trd sport. Ive only used my 4x4 a few times. I have however randomly engaged it to keep the motor active(ive had fords prior that are know for motor issues). Anyways. Recently my transfer case gave up the ghost. 2wd is fine but when 4 wheel is engaged it grinds away without front shaft engagement. I am 1100 miles out of powertrain warrenty and the dealer and toyota corp offered no help. I have looked everywhere i could and made a few calls. Does anyone know of a rebuild kit for this t case. They are generally easy to rebuild. But i cant find parts. Or if there is a way to install a stouter case. The truck is stock with no lift. No abuse and maybe 30 miles on the 4wd. Used cases are available but a rebuild is more up my alley. Thanks for reading my long drawn out post
