So I installed my tires yesterday. 265/75/16 cooper st/max on fj wheels..

I am getting some pretty good rubbing on my driver side mud flap. Not on passenger side.. Just the driver side. I am bone stk except for the fj wheels. I do not want to get rid of the flaps. Is this an alignment issue? Common?

Thought mine was rubbing on one side only as well. After watching with the truck in reverse and hard turn, there was a flap in front of the tire that was causing the issue. I removed it and the rubbing stopped. Worth a look.

you should get 5100's and lift the front a bit, no more rubbing and a bad ass look! they are about 70$each + install.

Do you happen to know the wheel specs? Exact wheel size and offset.

My 265/75-16 didn't fit either without a lift, but my wheels have 0 offset. Mine rubbed the front little flap and the bigger mud flap. I removed the small flap, and once I was lifted I cleared the mud flap.

You can trim your front mud flaps a couple inches and you should be good. I trimmed mine almost 4 1/2 inches and they look great.

Not sure of the wheel specs. Just know they are FJ cruiser wheels. I had the same tire size on my 2009 DCLB and never rubbed but with the 2012 it sure does. Maybe it's the bigger lugs on these tires??

Yeah, may be a combination of the FJ wheels and the tires.

I've got FJ rims. Didn't rub at all with same size tire, although it was a tight fit. No prob since lift other than the front flap mentioned earlier.
