License plate frames that say Toyota or Tacoma?

I know a lot of the firefighters will apreciate this one. My mom works for CHP as a dispatcher and one of the officers is always giving me shit cuz i'm a firefighter and saying "God made cops so firefighters can have hero's". So I was walking through the mall one day and they were making license plate frames so I made this and put it on his personal car one night

 

Thats a pretty funny license frame....I believe heroes spelled wrong!

 

SHIT!!!! I thought something looked funny. Its kinda sad because I have show'd that to a lot of people and your the only one to pick it off.

Search for "trd frame" in ebay.

The guy sells a bunch and they are all sold in pairs. I got both frames for $16 shipped. A few auctions went off at $20 but if you are patient and bid in the last 30 seconds, you will get it for less.



He has a buy it now for $20 shipped. These look orange but I contacted him and they are the same ones but a different view. The lighting made them look orange.

I may try to cover up the white lettering on the bottom. Maybe paint? It's hard to see that part anyway because of the bumper.

 

How much HP are we talking about with these TRD plate covers?

5+ or so?

 

I don't think I'll get that much.


Although I did paint my engine cover and it gave me 3" of lift. Weirder things have happened!

 

Went with option B and got both plate frames for $16 shipped (ebay).

I didn't like the Toyota Racing Development in white so I blacked it out. Since I got two of them, I will put one away and use it as a replacement after this one fades.

Awesome! I am very pleased with the look of that plate. I blacked out the bottom lettering on mine and just have the red TRD at the top. With a red truck, it looks great.


It sucks you have to have a front plate. I am very glad PA does not require that. It can really make the front of a vehicle look like shit. All vehicles have the rear end built around a license plate (its expected to be there). But very few adapt the front to accept a plate - thus adding one looks very sloppy.

Anyway, you made the best of it and wrapped a nice frame around it!
