I've searched and searched (this forum and the interwebs) and can't seem to find the actual bulletin that talks about adding a leaf. Does anyone know where it can be found?

    Thanks.

If it's not in the TSB thread or anywhere else then it's probably a myth... Let us know if you find that unicorn though. Lots of people would like to use that one.

There is no TSB for an add-a-leaf..

When you hear the term TSB AAL, they are referring to an AAL that works with the TSB leaf pack(3 leafs and 1 overload) versus the old non TSB pack (2 leafs and 1 overload).

an AAL is going to provide usually 1.5" of lift to your rear springs.

If you look on your truck and you have 3 leafs and 1 overload then you already have the TSB leaf pack from the factory (most newer models already have the TSB leaf springs)

*If youre looking to install an AAL to a TSB leaf pack here is great install thread http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/suspension/31118-how-install-add-leaf-w-pics.html

I think the 2014 Off-Road comes with the 3-leaf pack, the Sport comes with the 4-leaf pack. Only "God" knows why Toyota does this.

As of October / November 2013 all six lug tacos come with the 3+1 leaf packs

That's good news, the 3-leaf pack was just not worth a shit on any Tacoma.

I can confirm this after looking at my 2014 off-road this weekend, 2 leafs plus 1 overload.

My 2014 Off-Road also has 2 plus 1, that's why I was asking. I may have used the wrong verbiage though.

Yeah, who know - doesn't make any sense. I upgraded to the Dakars, but it's a shame that you have to drop $500+ on fucking leafs on a brand few vehicle b/c Toyota didn't properly outfit the rig.

I saw a nice rig yesterday - plate bumper, lift, wheels/rubber, Satoshi grill. Then he passed me and I saw his ass-end was sagging BADLY (like the opposite of the Taco lean). Looked absolutely horrible on a good looking truck that seemed to be done up right. Apparently he didn't do a rear pack or AAL.

    thats the "Bro lean"

coulda done that on purpose......... some ppl like it

"Taco lean" is the driver side of the truck being lower than the passenger due to all the weight on that side (battery, gas tank, driver, etc). Or can be made by using aftermarket coils and NOT using a lean spacer (1/4").

The factory coils are side specific to attempt to counter the lean..... . (u should have 1 dot of paint on each coil.... different color on each side).

Aftermarket coils are not side specific.

Ah, I see. I'm not a fan, it just looked really out of place with the rear a couple inches lower than the front. To each their own I guess

So, there really is no TSB that announces this? Crap!
