I was getting an oil change today when the service tech informed me that my rear skid plate was completely missing. The front was intact. The only thing I can attribute this to is one evening stuck in traffic, I flipped a U-turn but did so by climbing the center median. It must have come off at that time.

I don't do any extreme off-roading, but do drive up some 4wd roads in summer for camping and feel like I should get another skid plate. The only forum post I found through searching was for extreme aftermarket plates, which are overkill in my situation.

What would you guys do to go about getting a new plate? OEM? Better aftermarket piece?

    Any help is appreciated!

I think only the TRD off roads come with the extra skid plate unless you added the bigger Toyota skid. They are bolted on and wouldn't just fall off.

Not if all you have now is the plain black one. If you have the larger, silver TRD said then you should have had one.
