First off, I have a 2004 Tacoma Xtra cab 4x4 v6 automatic. The rear setup has OME Dakar and the OME D6XL. Like most others, the leaf pack shifted the rear axle forward a bit.

Here's the potential issue. Before the lift I measured 3 5/8 inches between the slip yoke and flange at rest. Now after the lift it measures 1 15/16 inches. Does anyone know where the slip yoke bottoms out at? i.e. if it did bottom out would it be the yoke all the way up against the flange where I'd see a grease stain all the way out on the shaft upon it sliding back in? I just want to make sure that I'm not running the risk of bottoming out the slip yoke since I don't want to mess with the axle relocation if it isn't necessary. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Here are some pictures:

So does anyone if I've got 1 15/16 inches left before the slip yoke bottoms out?

Use a set of axle relocation plates? I run the same packs with the d6xl and have no problems with the driveshaft.. But some guys need relocation plates to center the rear wheels in the fender well

Is your axle centered in the fender? Mine isn't but not by much. My tires don't rub the front of the fender so it doesn't concern me- just the potential lack of slip yoke movement.

I had the same problem with my slip yoke bottoming out when i installed my dakar's. Ordered relocation plates from All Pro and moved my axle back 1 inch and that seems to fix the problem.
