Swapped out struts/coils last weekend. bought complete Monroe strut/coils already assembled.
I noticed that the sway bar links, tie rod ends and ball joints all have dry rotted/cracked boots. So I am going to be replacing all of that in the next month.
Should I be concerned with driving it daily after just doing the struts and not getting it aligned?
There is no play in any of the above parts yet.
It still runs straight. Wheel is centered. No difference in handling. I know it should be done, but to avoid having it done twice would be nice.

if you like your tires get it aligned. if not let it go.

just know once tires start wearing bad it's hard to counteract it.

I would say wait, but it depends on how many miles you put on the truck in a month. If you're commuting 40 miles a day, I'd get that alignment asap. An all wheel alignment will only run you 60$-$100 and an hour of your time, pending on your shop. Like the above poster mentioned uneven tire wear is insidious; by the time you notice it you've got $500 worth of shot rubber.

Also, what do you think of the Monroe quick strut assemblys? Any difference in ride comfort?

I only drive 14 miles a day on average so not even close to lots of miles.
I do have plans for larger tires towards the end of summer but I do want to be able to sell these. They only have about 1500 miles on them.
Huge difference in ride quality with the Monroes but I replaced the original equipment struts/springs that were 19 years and 186000 miles old! Lol

Joe, I'm going to step out here and say to wait. If all you're doing is driving 400 miles in a month and your plan is to tear it all apart at the end of that month, you won't be putting any undue wear on those tires. Unless of course you have other issues with the front end that you're dealing with. But if it tracks straight when you let go of the wheel and the camber/caster isn't off, you should be ok.

Now if you messed with the camber/caster adjustment or adjusted the tie rods for toe-in/out, you'd have to get it aligned.

Those shocks you bought, do they have the single mounting hole on the bottom of the shock or do they have 2 mounting on the side at the bottom of the shock?
If it has 2 bottom mounting holes, I believe that requires an alignment because the camber/caster is affected. The single hole mount you will be fine.

After you get everything swapped out, get er aligned.:oldglory:

That was sorta my thought too. It drives straight. I didn't touch the cams at all.
I am considering replacing the control arm bushings while I am doing everything else.
The struts only had one hole on the bottom. Mainly why I was thinking it was ok as is for short term since I didn't change any of the alignment points
