Not the handiest with working on vehicles, so I would get it done somewhere.
Wondering what price I should be looking for out the door for a 3" lift…I want to do it right.

    Thx Guys!

What application would this lift be for? Off-road? Hauling? Towing?

That's very vague?? For an entire good lift 1500-3000 that's coilovers in the front new shocks in rear and a leaf pack. More details would be good as your price range and what you wanna do with the lift.

Sorry guys… I want to get it for a blend of off-road and camping not necessarily mud bogging and holding a RTT and towing two dirt bikes… not looking for more than 2 grand.

I paid $1100 Canadian for my Skyjacker setup....

Came with all that is pictured above. I've talked to a couple of other members on Tacoma World who have this lift, or who have had it before, and both liked it.

Mines going on in the next couple of weeks... :)

With a budget like that, you can consider even replacing your leaf packs which can allow better ride and more payload, but that may not be what your looking for. If you do end up replacing your leaf pack, I'll buy your stock leaf packs if they have 4 leafs each :D I'm in desperate need of the 4 leaf/TSB leaf pack so I say buy a new leaf pack so you can sell me your old ones!

If you don't decide to do that, then I would do one of the progressive AAL because I have heard great reviews about that. It is a 3 leaf addition to your stock leaf pack that engages more of the leafs with heavier loads.

You have a great budget for this, but don't forget about installation cost if you don't plan to do it yourself. I would say installation will cost around $600 depending on what you get.

Let me know if you want to sell those stock leaf packs!

Buy an icon stage 1 lift for 1500 and then get the Dakar leaf packs and you should be good.

    Some stuff...
I researched the hell out of this subject reading, taking notes and sifting through thread after thread for months! I even changed the setup I wanted a number of times along my research journey and finally went with an ICON full lift that was over $3K. It was a little more than I wanted to spend initially, but I'm satisfied with my decision after all that I've read/learned and how I will be using my rig.

I'd definitely recommend rolling up your sleeves and doing some searching and research. Everyone has a different opinion, need, and application for their rig. And of course, everyone has the best setup. But only you know what's going to work best for you when armed with the facts.

    Good luck! :)
