My 2012 DCSB TRD Off Road was built in Baja, just rolled over 25k without any problems. Great truck.

If you're still in CS, Atkinson Toyota beat the prices I could get from USAA and the DFW area dealerships.

edit: It was a '14, build in SA.

I'm 99% sure that the window sticker for my 2013 access cab says it was built in Texas. Build date was aug 2013, I think. I'd go look at the door jam but it's snowing outside and I'm not quite crazy enough.

    Things I need to tow.
It has to. As mentioned earlier, Access Cabs (and Standard Cabs) are only built in San Antonio. The Tijuana plant builds only V6 Double Cabs (per Wikipedia). However, composite beds for all Tacoma production are made in Tijuana and are shipped to SA.

Bought my 2014 DC V6 in Nov. VIN starts with a 3 so it is from Mexico. I had no idea until I stumbled across this post. Been very happy so far but don't even have 2,000 miles on it yet. I commute via Ferry boat in the Puget Sound area. Taco won't see many miles until I receive my custom made Aliner popup camper. :)

I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.
    Yup. I did notice that.

Regardless of location they all follow Toyota QA QC standards. If it makes you feel better my 3-vin Tacoma's build quality is superb.

It's funny to see this poll now after I picked up my truck on Friday...coming from my Mexican built VW I was slightly disappointed at first to learn my new Tacoma was built in Mexico as well. After spending time reading though that the majority of Baja built trucks are happy and trouble free, I'm cautiously optimistic about the longevity of my new truck!

Well the dealer emailed me earlier and said that the truck I may be getting just showed up in port and is a Texas built one..VIN starts with a 5...I had no reservations anymore about foreign built trucks but hey, we'll see how this deal goes.
