I just got my first truck about a month ago, its a stock 2000 Tacoma Prerunner V6 SR5. So far I love the truck Im 17 and its perfect for carrying my dirt bike around. I was driving the other day and saw another tacoma that looked just like mine but the wheels stuck out more and I really liked how it looked. It looked like it had wheel spacers but I wasn't sure. Basically I wanted mine to look like that one so I took some pictures of it and took some pictures of mine for comparison. (Mine is the white one, his is blue)

Sorry if the pictures didn't come out good but can you tell what his truck has on it? Does it look lifted to you? do you think those are wheel spacers? How can I get mine to look like his? This is my first post so I'm not sure what kind of answers I will get but hopefully you guys can help. Thanks in advance!

I have been thinking about the same thing. I can tell you my friend has them and a little difference in spacer size makes a big difference on the truck. Even though it is only half an inch the difference between 1.5 and 2 inches is pretty big. I was thinking 1 inch and 1/4. If you go to far it looks rice IMO. Also, that truck in the pic has aftermarket wheels so he might not have spacers back there. I say do it and post pics. That way i can see what it looks like and decide if I want to do it. :) Good luck, hope I helped a little.

Thanks for the quick response! Ya maybe his wheels have offset or something. I'll post pics if I decide to get spacers

I had to use wheel adapters/spacers to put some rims on my wifes beloved old Honda. Just that extra 1/2 inch made the car handle and steer differently. I don't know if others have felt a difference in their trucks. I had to remove them from the car.

So I could get new wheels with backspacing and offset instead of wheel spacers? What amount of backspacing and offset would be equal to a 1.25" or 1.5" spacer?

How much backspacing and offset do your wheels have? They look good and wheels are only a little more $ than wheel spacers anyway.

They are 3 5/8 in backspacing with a -30 offset. They would equal about about a 1.5" to 2" spacer. they cost me $400 or so.

Might be hard to tell in this picture, but i also real dig that look. Mine stick out about 1.5 inches. Its illegal in my state but iv only been stopped once because of it. I have 1.25 auto zone spacers. Like 20$
