The title is only half right.

I bought a Ford Escape SUV, trying to find the right blend between family vehicle and fun off-roading hunting fishing do everything vehicle. It was advertized as a 2012, but when I got the registration papers it was a year older than advertized. The seller admitted the mistake but wouldn't reduce the price so I handed back the papers, put a stop payment on my cheque.

I AM SOOOOO HAPPY THIS HAPPENED!

My friends and family said "why do you always go for the compromise, you have always wanted a truck... so get a truck!".

What the heck was I thinking!!!!!

I am now the happy owner of a 2013 Tacoma SR5 double cab, only 6 months old, and loaded with extras.

Love this truck already (only had it a week) and look forward to may happy years together.

It wasn't a dealer, it was a private sale and it really was an honest mistake. The guy actually lost several hundred dollars due to his typo since he had already paid to transfer financing, etc.

He refunded my deposit with absolutely no problem and a huge apology.

Thanks for the welcome everyone, I have already benefitted from the site, just drove 5 hours today, kept my speed under 100kms/hr and saw a huge increase in gas economy. Got that tip as "the peak efficiency" from this forum.
