Shopping around for used Taco and came across an 05 double cab 2wd with 38K miles. It's an SR5, TRD off road, with tow package. The current owner hardly drives it and keeps it garage kept so it's in amazing condition. The blue book is around $20,500-$21K and he's asking $20K. Should I try to go a little bit lower since it's a 9 year old truck or go ahead and pull the trigger? Thanks for your input!

I paid about $17,000 for my 05 access cab with 34,000 on it. Try to talk him down some.

Dec 2012 I sold my 2005 double cab TRD sport prerunner for $16,000 I think... It had 95k miles or so... So I think you can get some off that price... Just my $.02 though. Let us know what happens!

    Bluebook $21k?
I'd double check. Even so, that's overpriced for an 05 pre runner. Go on Autotrader and I bet you could find a handful cheaper close to you.

Thanks for the input guys. It'd be nice to talk him down some. I'll do some negotiating and see what I can do. It'd be a shame to have to pass on it. It's a really great looking truck for how old it is.

Bought mine in mint shape, from an officer in the Marines. It was orig. new off lot in Cali. He drove it to Va, where he got stationed. I purchased it there. $18,000 with 72,xxx miles on it. I was able to talk him down, he didnt know much about cars and i told him the dealership would want to make more off of it and him

funny thing, he wanted a prius.
