Alright, initially I had a bad wheel bearing, took the hub off bought a bearing hub assembly from NAPA, and had Toyota in town press the old hub flange into the bearing.

When I took everything off initially a little round spring type deal came out of the spindle. Before I put the hub back on I put it back where I thought it went (I'm trying to attach a photo) there was a small ridge that sort of hugged the CV axle where it enters the spindle. It was slightly torn (probably from the old ruined bearing) but I managed to get it to stay in place anyways.

As I reattached the hub I noticed the boot was torn. Covered it in saran wrap and tape to try keep grease from leaving and winter from entering... But eventually it started clicking so I broke down and ordered a new axle from NAPA with the "lifetime warranty".

When I went to install the axle I didn't take the hub off but detached the spindle from the underside and swung it off to the side and looked at it from behind a view I hadn't seen yet, there was a small gap between the edge of the spindle and the bearing, I assume for the ABS sensor. The little spring was loose and sitting on the bearing attached by some substance what appeared to be grease. I cleaned the grease off and carried on with the axle change which went surprisingly easy... Almost too good to be true easy.

I reattached the spindle and pulled the hub assembly off and tried to put the spring where I thought it would go and couldn't get it to stay. So... I just left it off, and I'm thinking now it probably wasn't the best plan...

I went on a 4 hour highway drive and when I would slow and turn corners occasionally I would hear a clicking sound similar to the CV axle. But the CV axle is brand new...

So in my new axle without grease and not working properly already. Or is my little spring negligence the culprit and did water or something get into my new bearing and already ruin it? (There may be a squealing sound coming from it too) Additionally that seal on the spindle with the little spring? What is it called and how do I replace it? Or did I maybe not push the axle in hard enough and the fluid from the front differential is gone and that's clicking (I re-filled it and double checked fluid level)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
