Ok so I go some wheels from another Tacoma that came with different sensors. Do I have to go to the dealer to sync them? I have tried what it tells me to do in the manual with no success. Thanks guys!

Do they have to do anything physically to the sensors? Meaning will they have to dismount the tires?

The dealer should have the sensor reader and be able to read the code. They will then program the sensors to your truck. Unless the sensor is inop no dismounting is necessary. Just have them write down the codes for you and save them.

Discount tire has the tool to sync and activate the tpms. Probably alot cheaper than the dealership.

Discount tire will do it for free I used to work there just tell them that your light is on.
They will check your pressure and then if light doesn't turn off which it won't since they are not sync they will just scan them to see if there is a bad sensor and while they do that it will sync them at the same time.

I have the too to scan them it was $200 to program your truck needs another tool that was $150.
The dealer might be cheaper I am not sure of this. I like to do things myself so I bought the tools.
