Does anyone remember seeing a "Gov't Fee" line item on their paperwork when buying their new truck? I can understand there being a Doc Processing Fee of $150 but that stupid Gov't Fee was another $200.

Just seeing if Stealership is adding bogus fees.

The document fee is negotiable. You just have to catch it. I don't know what the government fee is but you have to catch stuff like that is well.

When I buy a car I go through each line item before I sign anything. If I don't understand or agree I ask someone.

I knew it didn't sound right. Also, they said they would have to add $750 to the price if I had wanted to choose the 0% financing. WTF??!! I'm not going crazy right?

Tax and license.... A new vehicle will cost me about 15% more than the sale price to get it out the door.

I haven't, but different states have different rules. Use your own financing, I wouldn't pay more up front to save on payments.
