Agreed ride is subjective. I drove them all and went with the Sport. Truck just came in Tueday and I love it. I have owned a lot of new cars and trucks and this 2014 Tacoma does not disappoint on first initial drives. Only issue so far is chrome running board height . Seems high and does not allow for foot to fit between rocker and board been sloopy weather around here but going to look under truck to see if Toyota allowed for adjustment. I also just retired and seen a few people wait to long and end up never getting. I see this a lot with people who always wanted a Corvette and for many reasons never pulled the trigger. One thing in life for sure there will always be a reason to put off something that you want I learned after kids were raised go for it when you can.

I'm not a fan of the 'Phony Hood Scoop'...Have you considered Plasti-Dip? I've used it on my cars to change the look (Not a fan of Chrome), more to my taste.

1st Pic is factory, 2nd is Plasti-Dipped, very easy application + totally easy removal, if one wants to remove it.

The more shifts the tranny has to make in a auto. The more HP it takes to make the auto tranny work.

So the first time I can get my hands on the 3rd gen Tacoma is theoretically at the end of 2015, and will have no probs finding one by March 2016?

somehow, I cant believe that the trd-pro will be 2015. either that, or they will sell the 2016 in early 2015.. like they did the fr-s...

Bw s256 turbo with 3 in glass pack dumped pre axle raptor liner bed and top rails and fenderflares and rocker panels. Hunter side steps. Plasti-dipped upper fenders and emblems. satin black spray paint here and there inside and out. 5100's set to 1.75" up front . C channel front bumper. Maxxis bighorn 255/85/16
I assume at lower rpms one would be farther from peak torque, and with more frequent shifts there would be an extended amount of time in lower rpms that theoretically could be less efficient due to lack of torque available at a givin rpms, putting more load on the motor. Just a guess here.
