A friend of mine turned his garage into a machine shop. Needed bolts for a '65 Triumph, so we turned them on his lathe. Easy peasy.

Didnt British stuff use a weird ass size before the 70s, might take a couple weeks to get that shipped to you. I made a bolt from aluminum in my machine shop class.

yeah....I think its wentworth or some shit. The number is an arbitrary number for the bolt. Weve had to make a few bolts so far, and one wrench. we use a stainless steel equivalent to a grade 8 steel.

Mine is kinda messed up looking on the head and was tight threading a nut on it.
We used aluminum so nobody would buy one at the store.

Suprisingly, there wasn't much rust. Only around where the spokes meet the wheel rim. Frame was in good shape, and most everything else is aluminum.

    Are triumph bad about rusting.

Kinda got the head lopsided, but hard to tell in the pics.

I think the ridges werent sharp enough, or cut deep enough they're pretty dull. Hard to see pics though. So the nut was hard to spin on it.

We also made ball pin hammers, my teacher had to help me some on that though. Would post a pic but its out in the garage.
