Hi folks, logging in for the first time. I just bought a 2014 Double Cab, 4x4, V6, long bed TRD Sport Taco (white). This is my second Taco. First was a 1999 extended cab V6 TRD offroad. I put a 3" lift and 33's on that. Great truck. Paid just under 20 for it in '99 new off the showroom floor. 10 years later Toyota paid me $15,500 for it with 117,000 miles on it. I kid you not. Bad Chinese frame rusting out like crazy. So, I took that check and immediately bought my wife a Corolla and she still has it. I bought a Dodge Dakota off same dealer used lot and drove that until recently. At 83,000 miles that truck was a JUNK. At 117,000 my Taco was NEW. I had original clutch, original brakes, original exhaust. I never even put new plugs in it. It wasn't until like 30,000 miles that I started to feel the transmission loosening up a little. Honest to God, that was a great truck. Now I'm just beaming to once again own a Taco. And my gosh, this truck has really become a nice truck too. My daughter was laughing loudly yesterday in her first back seat ride...she could open a door and get in back there! I have already installed EGR in-channel window rain shields (took 3 minutes). I also put an EGR flat black front hood protector on (10 min). And that protector looks BOSS on a white truck. I also put in the much needed and much appreciated Console Vault. That vault is awesome. It is worth every penny. Some guy on here listed the way to get a discount from them and it worked! I got $10 off for being a Tacoma World member. I thanked them for the discount. As time goes on I'm going to put a 3" lift on with 33's. (LT285/70/17). Believe it or not I might just put some Michelin all terrains on because this is a commuter truck and not a back woods truck. I'm a city driver now. My old Taco wore BFG A/Ts and they were AWESOME in the West Virginia hills where I lived at the time. Anyway...ahhhh....good to have a Taco again!
