Why Does Pro comp make a 3 inch kit with rear blocks when they have a 3 inch kit with AAL's? From everything ive read rear blocks are the least preferred method of lift. I went down to 4wheel parts to buy a 3 inch kit and they sold me the kit with blocks without even letting me know they had a 3 inch kit with AAL's. I found out later thru a friend that he got the same kit but with AAL's. Shouldn't they have at least given me an option. Im not tryin to split hairs here but youd think the people working at an off road shop would have some knowledge about the difference between rear blocks and AAL's. The rear blocks are only 1.5 inches and ive also read that anything under 2 inches really wont increase axle wrap that much, ut I was curious if anyone had this lift and has had problems.

Should they have given you other options? Probably. Should you have done some research first? Yes.

I def agree I should have done some more research before buying anything. And that's my bad. But is there a reason he went straight to blocks? Like I said they seem to be the least preffered method and the kits cost the same amount of money. So why didn't he order the kit with AAL's. Are block easier to install or something? And do you know why they make two kits at the same price with the only difference being the rear lift method?

Probably just got someone that was just wanting to sell and didn't care much for customer satisfaction. I'm assuming you could return it, yes?

Also, you may want to look into a different kit. I've been researching a while and a 3" procomp never really seems to be on many lists. Maybe OME or Icon, if your budget allows.

Im going down there tom to figure everything out. Well both lifts have the front springs I just need the AAL's in the rear instead of the blocks. so im not sure if I will have to return the entire lift package and wait for another one or if they can just order the AAL's and send back the blocks. And yes ive gotten mixed reviews of pro comp lifts but im not a serious off roader. I camp and hunt and really only need to do any off roading 5-10 a year. But I do haul/tow and ive heard that blocks are really bad for that. And $$$ is an issue haha

The AAL's supposedly suck too for towing or hauling loads (sag after a bit). You may be better off looking into the Dakar rear leaf pack.

I called Pro Comp and talked with the guys at 4 wheel parts and they are both recommending the lift with the 1.5 inch blocks. They said the AAL's are basically the same thing except they have a stiffer ride and will eventually sag. The guy at Pro Comp said that the lift kit with rear blocks is what they recommend to anyone with a 2010 or newer. Both also said that 1.5 inch blocks will not increase my chances of axle wrap. So im thinkin im gonna go with what they recommend and if I have any problems buy some AAL's as it looks like they are pretty cheap.
