I know! I know, but I did do a search & didn't find what I was looking for, & that is, What battery should I consider for my 2009 Tacoma? My battery is starting to show signs of weakness & I would like to replace before I have a problem, Sears? Battery Plus?, Walmart?, I am at a loss, Thanks

You will get a lot of answers from personal preferences for sure. A lot depends on if your truck is stock, and will remain stock for the foreseeable future, or is/will be modified.

I would not recommend an optima, I have gone through 3 before switching to Odyssey's I run duals.

Optimas have had alot of issues the past few years since the company was sold and plant moved.

Unless there is some special reason to pay high prices for some special battery just go with a Wal-Mart. They have good warranties and stand behind them.

FIRST! Thanks to all!!! I should have stated my truck is STOCK, my problem could be that it is not used much, so I think I am going to add a "Battery Tender" along with the new battery, I will check out the Walmart Brand, (I did look online & did not see a 27F, but they may have them in the store) Thanks again!!!

If you are using your truck only occasionally, don't get Odyssey. I had a trail rig I hardly used and I went through 2 Odyssey batteries, I also had to buy their brand of charger to keep the second one from going tits up.

If you are stock, why don't you get the Toyota battery? Mine lasted 5 years, got another and its been 5 years since that replacement. The Toyota battery has good CCA's, which is what you want there in cold MN. There aren't very many choices in 27F (tow package size battery) anyway, at least not when I looked 5 years ago.

I used a 10% off parts coupon when I bought mine

I may do just that, my truck is an "09" battery going on 5 years, maybe the dealer will throw in an install, you are correct in that there are not many choices, Thanks
