I just bought my 2009 Tacoma TRD Sport about a week ago and i am having some issues with some sort of automatic braking system while driving on winding roads. What appears to be the "Slip Indicator" light comes on mid way through a sharp turn and the truck begins to brake and affect my steering capabilities, it is also accompanied by an alarm that sounds. Once i slow down it stops and i regain full control again. Im not racing at unsafe speeds, just trying to drive the road as it is meant to be driven. Any ideas on what could be causing this?? It scares me half to death everytime....

it's the horrible ABS system that all tacomas seem to have. This is pretty extreme though. If mine was that bad, I'd take it back to whoever I bought it from or have a dealership look at it.

Yeah the VSC system is shit in these trucks. There is a thread around here that gives details on how to recalibrate it.

Yes it has both a lift and bigger tires. I bought it that way. Sounds like I should take it into the dealership then huh?
