Drove my truck last night and it started no issues. This morning when I opened the door, the built in alarm started going off. I turned off the alarm and went ot start the truck and only got the click click click. I put a charger on it (wife's car is a Camry hybrid and I have no idea and do not want to risk getting a jump from that) and had to wait 20 minutes before it would turn over. The truck is garage kept and was about 45 degrees in there this morning. Nothing was left on that I could see in the truck.

I am going out over lunch to see if it starts and to take it to Autozone to have the alternater tested.

Is there any warranty on a battery from the factory??

If the truck is brand new from the dealer, it has to still be under warranty. They should solve the problem for you. Moght be the alternator. Might be the wiring from the battery to alternator. I have had the wiring the wiring be the issue on a previous truck of mine.

Went to Autozone (the truck started as normal in the parking lot at work) and they tested the battery alternator/battery. Battery was great, alternator was pushing 13.6v at idle (that is a little low??). Both battery terminals are secure with no corrosion.

Guess I will keep an eye on it, but I cannot think of another problem it could be :/

Removed factory bed cover and installed UnderCover Elite. Added LOCKERDOWN console safe.
We get that ever so often in the dealership. That is the reason they put a warranty on them. It happens. Have had it happen the day after it comes off the delivery truck.

Didn't you just install a premium sound system? Might have something to do with it?

Not saying that it definitely is, but it is possible that it is taking a toll on it. Is the amp run off a capacitor or directly off the battery?

My 2013 was less then 3 months old when the battery started giving me trouble...dealer gave me the gears because I had installed a winch!? Wasn't worth my time...went and got a new battery installed from Les Schwab tires!!! They tested it and said two cells were out!!!!

Power is directly off the battery. I tested the line from the HU that tells the amp when to turn on and that is functioning correctly.

The reason for the capacitor is to take most of the work load off the alternator. The capacitor provides the brunt of the power to the amp helping to reduce fatigue on the vehicles power system.

Depends on the temperature and the battery's State-of-Charge. You need good and clean power and ground connections between your healthy charged battery and starter before the engine will crank.
