Is it possible that the router forgot my network name? I connected the router and it has a unsecured network and the name is Cisco13707. Which the 13707 is part of te serial number on the bottom of the router. Clueless what I need to do or try

If you rebooted it, it could have. Login to the GUI by typing in the IP address into firefox/IE/safari etc. There should be a login/password info on the router.

You can set your SSID and password in the wireless settings.

OK so I just had to reinstall the installation cd b/c evidently when you press the reset button it forgets everything. When I set it back up I just renamed the network and used same password as before so all my devices would recognize the same name. Was this a good idea or smart?

are you saying you are using the same passphrase (for WPA encryption)?... i don't see a problem w/ it, ...unless you're one of the paranoid types who change theirs from time to time... :D

Yeah I used the same password for people to access the network. I shouldn't say people but family members when they come to visit
