I thought I would start a thread and update along the way with pics and write-ups summarizing my lift. This had not been easy for me because I am new to the game and there is A LOT to learn with each decision. If any of this can help others then it's a worthwhile thread and besides that, I'm so damn excited to install this stuff (which is still a couple weeks out) I just had to talk about it. I just had a set of brandy new Duratracs mounted on some sweet ass matte black Konig Six Shooters and they are sitting in my garage waiting for winter to end with all the salt on the road.

    Very nice start,

What are you going to do with that rear end though?

I am waiting on one last shipment to complete the install.......EBC Yellow brake pads to go with Centric Premium rotors and SS brake lines which just showed up the other day. I ended up getting the rotors at Autoanything for a decent price and the brake lines at All-Pro. EBC brakes has a section on their website with retailers and I chose "Place for Brakes" because they were cheaper than any place else. The catch? I ordered them 12 days ago and still don't have them and won't until mid next week. Apparently they don't stock them and they don't drop ship from the manufacturer. So I am waiting for them to ship to the retailer who will then ship them to me.

    Rotors $120
    SS Lines: $120
    EBC Yellows: $112

I ended up getting my Duratrac's from a local tire shop for $240 installed plus tax. Total price $1,020.

I found that the local tire shops were willing to work with me on pricing and I'd rather buy from the shop that's installing them than to buy from Tire Rack and take them to a shop.

    $1,020
    $120
    $120
    $112
    Total: $1,372

My goal from the beginning was to keep the lift at 2". There are not many options for a rear LP at this height. The Ironman LP was my first choice and right at the time I was looking to buy the issue of them restructuring in the US popped up and I couldn't find one. I considered the Wheeler's HD pack but I got the impression based on the description and the number of leafs that this would be a very stiff ride. This is nothing more than my opinion without having any direct feedback from anyone using the pack. After some Google searching I found General Spring. I ended up going with their HD pack which is three leafs with an overload. Height is supposed to be 2-2.5". I'm surprised at how little this LP shows up on the boards considering how many people seem to key in on a 2" lift. I'll have plenty of feedback once I get the damn things on.

    LP: $380
    U-Bolts: $40
    Shipping: $93
    Total: $513

    Grand total: $1,885
