Starting on the rock lights. I have one light mocked up to figure out the best position for them.

This is with 9 of the lights, notice the center wasn't lit up. That'll change soon.

Added four more lights on the inside of the frame rails to light up the center of the truck.

You can see the lights on the frame in this shot.

Here are the lights in action. You'll have to forgive the electronics issue. I had a short in the ribbon cable that lead to my switch panel. That problem has been fixed now.

The picture in the previous post was just one of these lights. We'll see what eight of them will do shortly. :D

I bought a couple of those to put under the hood, but after seeing how bright they are I'm planning to use them for rock lights and bed lights as well!

So you planning on using magnets to mount them?

Yup, the magnets seemed to do their job. I'll let you know if they stay put over the long run though.

Yeah, they're pretty damn bright, especially considering that they're $12 a pair.

Haha yeah, I'm planning to order all the guy has left. I'll need to order more later...

Mind telling me how you made the mounts and where you got the magnets? I found some magnets on Amazon that look promising at 10lb of force per magnet...

They're supposed to be used for daytime running lights. I don't see that being practical though. You'd blind someone if they were facing forward.

For real haha my friend told me I could probably get away with using one under the hood, but that's boring :D

I bought the aluminum angle and magnets at Home Depot. They're both in the hardware aisle. Cut the angle to 7-1/4" and drill a 1/8" hole to feed the wire through.

The magnets are just epoxied on the back and I epoxied the wire where it comes out the top of the mount. I did that so I don't rip those tiny wires out.
