Forum: I woke up to my 07 tacoma prerunner in a puddle of gas. Someone drilled a hole in gastank. When their can overflowed, the rest was left on the street. Good thing no fire happened.
Called the tow truck to take it to the dealer. Driver told me he had seen two of these. The dealer had seen three cases of drilling the gas tank.
I now have an $1100.00 repair and a $500.00 deductable. wtf

I want to prevent further problems.
Can anyone suggest a protective urban skid plate. No off road for me.
I also had my catylitic converter messed with. The repair shop put some
protective beads on the welds. He does 10 per week!

    TIA

    R
