    Toyota dealers love tacoma owners, because they're never upside down on their trucks, and so they can more easily convince you to get out of one and into a new one, keep payments at the same level, etc. And they can make a lot on the used one as well.

    I don't think you can say that you're paying "more than you should have" on a used one. It's just simply what the market is demanding. So you're paying what you should be paying for a vehicle that has high demand and good value retention.

    I got mine used for a very reasonable price...however after paying over $1200 in tax and $800 for new tires I'm right where everyone else is.

    I was just offered 1000 less than what I paid for mine at trade in. I have had it for almost 2 years. Not bad.
