3" suspention lift

    Thinking about 285 75 R16 with a 3" pro-comp lift will they be any trimming . 13 DC LB SR5 4x4

    OME complete kit w/ 885s on Nitrocharger Sports, 1/4" spacers, Dakars w/ Nitrocharger Sports, LR UCAs, 265/70-17, Duratracs, G4 Elite tonneau, Weathertech Window Deflectors, Weathertech digital floor liners, factory JBL/Entune, rear differential breather relocate.
    Trimming has more to do with wheels, not the lift. On stock wheels, you'll probably need spacers and then if you offroad and really flex the suspension you'll probably still rub some.

    Darrell, Search for Pro-Comp 3" lift kit threads before you buy it. There are much better kits available. I speak from experience.
    As for trimming, also search it. There is a HUGE amount of great information on this site. I see you're new, Welcome to TW!

    Thanks for the info as the kit goes Ive already installed it was looking for the right sized tire that would fill the gap not to big but bigger than the stock 245 75 16s

    265/75/16 will fit with no rubbing. There are some other random sizes you can get as well if you look around for tire sizes. I think the 265s, especially if you get a good, beefy A/T tire. Looks good and no need to worry about them fitting.

    Oh. Well I rub 285's with the same lift for almost 100k miles. I have trimmed some plastic. Thats all.

    Plenty of people run 285s, you can definitely do it. Just gotta make sure you know what you're getting into and how to deal with it. Do some research. I just didn't want to deal with cutting up my truck so I stuck with 265s.

    afe pro dry, weather tech floor liners,5100's on all four corners@ 0, eibach 620 coils. toytec 3/4" spacer driver/s & passenger/s, rear spring tsb w/toytec 1" blocks, 4runner sport wheels, in channel vent visors, 1.25 spidertrax wheel spacers on the front, Wet Okole's, smity tow hook.
    Check out 255/85/16 (33"). With 3" of lift you can run em with little to no modification.

    3" Lift with UCA, Grillecraft grille, XD rims w/ 285/70r17 duratracs, leer xq cap,
    285/70-17 here no offroading yet but no rubbing just regular driving
