looking for rear leafs,2007 DCLB 4x4,it has the 3 leaf pack,i bought the truck after the tsb time limit was up.
I'm looking for new, stock height, what a good riding brand??

prob is ,i have a clunk, its the pass side leaf spring eye bushing, the dealer says they have to replace the spring,(they will do only one side, plus the "bushings"are part of the spring assy.so they will not just replace them only).

its covered under extended warranty, they said app 600 for spring,i'd just have to pay for u-bolts and other hardware.

i just think thats high for one side

just looking for a good brand and price to do myself.

I am in a similar position. I just purchased a 2006 DCLB 4x4 SR5. I am outside the warranty and I would like to upgrade the rear springs before I change shocks. I plan to put Bilstein 5100's on it to level the front end. I friend who has more experience with Toyotas than I do, just recommended I consider www.generalspringkc.com. I checked today and they are $159.99 with bushings included. I am considering this option, although I am anxious to hear what others on hear suggest.

I also bought springs from Generalspring.com/kc for my 02 TRD access cab at at
about 105K. The old springs were almost flat. The springs with bushing were $300
and $54 shipping from KC to Grand Rapids, Mich. They are more HD than OEM.

They are made in USA and are good springs. My mechanic put them on....the right
side was not easy. I helped him...he needed a couple of extra hands.

I'm wanting to try out general spring too. I haven't had the truck long enough to load it up and see how the weak stock springs handle a load.

    http://www.generalspringkc.com/Leaf_Springs_Toyota_Tacoma_2005_2011_s/1933.htm

General has the OEM replacements 3+1 packs for $159 they keep original height.

The HD 4+1 packs for $189 supposedly raise the rear 2" over OEM and would ride a little stiffer, but would'nt sag as much under load.
