New Leaf springs

    Hey guys,

    So I am trying to do some research before I purchase anything but I am looking to buy new leaf springs for my 2003 Toyota Tacoma 4x4. I have looked around the web and found brands like skyjacker, which are quite expensive... $450 for a pair?!

    I searched the forums and have found that
    $232 Dorman 929-401 Leaf Spring Compatible with Select Toyota Models
    Dorman 929-401 springs are reasonably priced, more like $125 a spring, yet they are for 1998-2000 tacomas. Will the Dorman 929-401 springs even fit my 2003 tacoma?

    If anyone else has any suggestions in brands or types of leaf springs that are reasonably priced let me know!!!

    I am running stock everything, so just normal leaf springs would be good. The stock toyota ones are for lack of a better word, dead. Still rides well and all that but bumps and the many potholes in Pennsylvania are getting to be a little rough. I also have the typical tacoma lean..

    partsgeek has those for 107 a piece with free shipping.. they will work fine, only the 95-97 use different (shorter) springs

    Thanks for the reply. so the 98 and up tacoma's use all the same length springs?

    Bilsteins, OME 881's, 3-leaf AAL, Detroit TruTrac, Tundra brake swap, Michelin LTX AT2, Tranny skidplate, TC skidplate, CBI rear bumper, TG sliders, UltraGauge, PowerTank, Reverse Camera
    Keep in mind that the stock driver-side leaf pack has a slightly higher spring rate, to allow for the extra weight on that side (gas tank, driver, front differential, etc). Some aftermarket companies allow for this difference, but not all.

    Be sure that your new pack has anti-friction pads between the leaves, to reduce squeaking and excessive metal-on-metal wear.

    Yeah, I noticed that with the dorman ones, I want to correct the lean in my truck that is already there!

    My allpro's were the same (not driver specific) but i isntalled 1/4" top plate spacer on front strut to correct the lean
