exhaust advice

I plan to buy a cat back this week sometime. I had the TRD on my FJ and thought it was fine. What sounds good, lasts, and looks good for under $600?

 

Any help team?

Gibson, low rumble at low rpms. quiet at crusing speed. Roars when it is needed

 

If you liked TRD before, ull like them again, love my trd catback and would suggest it to any tacoma owner, to me, the trd is the only catback that sounds deep to me, all other options sound slightly too high pitched to me lol... but just my 2 cents and experience.

 

Why not just throw a muffler on stock pipes?

 

Bought a gibson cAt back and a Volant cool air intake with ram air

 

Just keep an eye open for a check engine light..... Let's hope ur a lucky one, but if it does pop up, don't worry. The urd maf calibrator from gadget with his map on it is supposed to fix the problem.

Crap i was hoping to avoid that. I will get the maf calibrator ordered asap

 

Just return or cansol the volant intake order and get an AFE power stage 2 si .... I almost got the volant and heard about all the issues ppl were having with them. The afe is good because it is the same as the first generation (silver top) TRD cold air intakes.

I agree with Justus. Cut your muffler and get one welded in place. You could do that for under $200

 

Only worry about it if u get the check engine light..... OR if u want to possibly get a few more HP.
