Don't blindly buy the tank from Amazon until you check with the policies of your local gas suppliers.
Some will refill customer tanks, but others work on an exchange basis like the Rhino BBQ cylinders.

I'd hate to spend $100+ on a nice cylinder, only to find that to get a fresh fill I get to hand it over to the local welding shop and get someone's beat-up cylinder in exchange.

The good part of exchange cylinders is you don't need to worry about hydrostatic testing every 5 years. If you own your own cylinder and it is always refilled, then it needs to be tested every 5 years or it can't be refilled.

Brian, I have a tank if you want it (sell it cheap) when you come down for sliders! It needs to be re certified but Praxiar said that runs $35 for them to do it, but you can take it to a paintball shop and have it filled which is what ill be doing since we have one real close by. Ill shoot you a text. Youll still need the Reg and hose tho but I have 2 20# tanks

Wow... my scuba cylinders are $100 each, but dive shops are a ripoff.

No clue haha only place I asked was Praxair when I took the tank up there to just ask about it but they mentioned trying BallBusters (local paintball shop) and they likely wouldn't even check the dates on it.. Praxair also said that they could fill rather than swapping me for c02 if I had my own special bottle I wanted to keep
