Looks like 2015 won't bring major redesign.

I would be more likely to buy another Tacoma if they would make improvements other than the front grill, which is all they have changed in the last ten years really. Here is a list of things I would like to see that would not be a major redesign but are things the Tacoma needs:

Bigger engine, they already have it in the 4 Runner
    Rear Disc Brakes
    Rear Tailgate lock
Better bed rail system (Frontier is much better)
    More Wheel/tire options
    Leather interior options

These are just a few things that would improve the truck without a total redesign.

People better watch what they wish for, yes Toyota needs to make up grades to the Tacoma, but the way " the new body designs " coming out it will be a toss up . Might get a new 4runner front end.

As for the diesel I know everybody wants one. I been driving diesel work trucks for the past 20 years , the new designs "6.0" junk junk, the trucks stayed in the shop, thank God it was A company truck I didn't have to foot the bill for repairs the last truck had over 56,000 in repairs. Now I have a V -10 with 110,000 miles not been in shop . My buddy has a 2013 has to replace o2 sensors every 10,000 miles at $60 a pop. I had a Ford Ranger that had a diesel, Perkins, it was crap , no speed , no horse power it was small it was to probably keep the weight down, it ran hot all the time . and
with all the gov emissions regulations, it would be a maintenance nightmare to have a diesel, maybe overseas where there is no DEQ, diesel are great, but here who knows .

Hopefully the changes they will finally make, will make everybody happy happy !

You gotta keep it 'fresh' and exciting for the tacoma fans.
    1) Repeat business.

Nothing is perfect and they're always room for 'stepping it up' and keeping up with and/or passing the competition.
    2) Winning new business
