Hey man got buds that own/fly (and even died) in Cubs. I used to own and fly a "classic" :p straight tail 1959 C150. Cool little (IFR) airplane...I thought. 5.5 gal an hour and with an auto gas STC.

Keep tossing around a V35 but....

    Damn Charlie that sucks.

I bought my 150 when I was about 24 or 25. I'm not concerned about the medical yet but, it sure is something I've given thought to when I think of buying another one. But, GA is awesome...it's a good group of people. While flying into class B, C or D is fine I'm all about the grass strip next to the house kinda deal or small private airport.

Gotta say the M20 is a hot little airplane. I've always wanted to at least ride in one but, never had the chance. I do hear they're a bitch to work on.

I've got a little time in a Citabria and a Super Cub, but not a J-3.

    Nice! I'm loving the V-tail.

Kinda the same here, a retired navy buddy hooked me up with his V-tail. It was 225hp so not the fastest but still good for the fuel burn. I want to say it was around 10 an hour at 145 knots & had decent range and gross. He's a decent dude man. He's about 20 years older than me and approaching retirement from currently flying left seat in a 757. He was also my instructor. He had some other really cool rides like a twin bonanza (a beast BTW), Cherokee 6-260 & a 172 but, I never got to fly those.

One thing I don't care for on a lot of the V-tails I find is the single control wheel. Just don't like the seat up. Think if I ever did get one, it'd have to be dual.

I'll see if I can find pics where I parked mine at, 78i, and of me doing some approaches. I've got some good pics me doing some nice slips so the pics are the right angle. I currently live between PMU & UOX both are paved so one of them would be my home if I did it.

Glad to see I am not the only PILOT on here.
    I have been flying/owning J-3 Cubs since 1958.
At present I am just renting at a local Berkshires Mass. airport.
Photo of my 14 year old grandson. His first lesson in a J-3.
