I'm having trouble deciding which Tacoma to get. There's a really nice 2010 TRD Sport model with 81000 km on it for ~$32000 that I'm eyeing up, but I could also get a brand new 2014 TRD Sport for ~$39000, which also comes with 3 year basic coverage, while the 2010 model does not. I think I can get a better finance rate with a new 2014 model also.
I'd like to hear some of your opinions though, this is my first vehicle purchase and I don't want to make a huge mistake.
    Thanks

What the shit???? $32k for a 2010 and $39k for a 14. People are picking up these things new for the same price as that 2010, fully loaded.

Unless its being used solely for business, I think it's absolutely RIDICULOUS to buy any truck for more than $30K.

Notice the KM guys.... he's in Canada... Those prices aren't really comparable to US prices even if the exchange rate was the same because the market is different.

What IS useful is comparing the differential in price. The used one is only 82% of the price of the new one. Considering you get a brand new truck that is 100% unmolested and not abused (you never know with a used one) and you get the 3 year 36,000 mile warranty (not sure what it is in Canada). The new one seems like a no-brainer if you can afford it. If you're looking at one for $32,000 I'd imagine $39,000 is probably still in the budget.

If it helps, I'm going brand new for that exact same reason. I can pick the options and new is barely more expensive in the US than used. In USD there was a TRD Or dcsb for $32,000 at a local dealer. That was a 2012 with 15,000 miles... for only $34,000 I could have had a brand new one with the same options (TTL + delivery not included, so probably closer to $35,000). The price difference is small for what I'd consider a much "fresher" truck.

We know where it is. We are just giving our USA viewpoint. Maybe someone from Canada should chime in.
