    Hey...

Would/how far would my tires stick out?

    PRO COMP 51
    Wheel Size: 16x8

    Backspace: 4
    Finish: Black

Would stick out about 1/2" inch, or more beyond the fender flare...

    OR

    Wheel Size: 16x8
    Bolt Pattern: 6 on 5.5
    Backspace: 4.25
    Finish: Black

Would stick out about 1/4" inch or more beyond the fender flare...

The standard here is 4.5 backspace.

Does anyone have any word on these rims?

No, I am looking into getting a set them myself...

good or bad, decided to go with a steel wheel because i hear there better protection.

Yes, but in an emergency, a steel wheel can sometimes be repaired
( bent back into position with a sledge hammer), where as an aluminum alloy wheel will either crack or break.

All depends on the type of off roading you will do. However, the Alloy
Wheels are a little better with salted roads.
